Since 1973, the Parkstadion has been the legendary home of Schalke and 70,000 fans, until they moved to the new arena in 2001 (after the "championship of hearts"). The special significance of this historic venue for the supporters is shown by the fact that the Ultras raised over EUR 220,000 to have the last remaining floodlight mast restored. Since January 2023, the Schalke star has once again shone above the new, small Parkstadion, where the 2nd team and the U19 team play their games.
